*Stephen A. Smith had a lot to say about Ayesha Curry’s tweets during Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, accusing the NBA of rigging the game against her husband Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors team for money.

Ayesha and many others questioned several fouls called on Steph in the team’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. She seemed to believe that the NBA gods were rigging the game to extend the series to a lucrative Game 7.

During Friday’s episode of ESPN’s “First Take,” both Smith and Skip Bayless criticized Ayesha for speaking out. Smith, however, took things a step further by comparing Ayesha to Savannah Brinson, the wife of her husband’s current Finals rival LeBron James.

“[Brinson] never brings attention to herself. She never tweets and calls out the lying. Nobody, nobody is more scrutinized than her husband, but yet she thinks about how she represents him,” Smith said.

You are not just Ayesha Curry. You are Steph Curry’s wife,” he went on to say.

“If this were Savannah acting like this, do you know how much heat LeBron James may have taken?” Smith continued to argue.

Watch the tirade below:

Ayesha was apparently watching the show and responded immediately, tweeting Smith, “Why are you putting two women against each other like that? You’re the one that’s out of pocket.

Smith peeped the tweet and responded live during the two-hour show, saying, “It is not me. It is you.”

  1. Some people just need to keep their mouth shut, SIR. She didn’t sign up for all of that. What? She can’t speak her mind, give her opinion. No one should be silenced just because of a spouse’s “celebrity” status. And the “If that were LeBron’s wife” threory, again, based on IF, how the hell do you know what she would’ve said IF…? Just because she remains silent.

You’re an ass. Yes. I said it! #dontbesilentayeshacurry

  2. Ms. Pryor you are correct some people need to keep their mouth shut but in my opinion in this instance it should ALSO be Curry’s wife.

Stephen A Smith is a jerk,I agree with you on that

Was the NBA FIXED when the Warriors won last year, when her husband won back to back mvp’s?

She sounds silly complaining when they LOSE,she definitely need’s to fallback.ESPECIALLY when she states the league that pays her husband is FIXED.Unless she has some proof to back that statement up.

That is a dumb wife who needs to shut up,and stay in her lane and I’m sure Steph told her that behind close doors, I’m sure Steph’s bosses had a talk with him and the league had a chat with Steph’s bosses, you can’t just throw out some irresponsible comments like that

IF a player said something like that he would be heavily fined and probably suspended.she has no boundaries apparently and really crossed the line.

Her statements about Lebron showed she has no damn filter,

Steph should have taken away twitter after those remarks, but he didn’t and she made some more dumb ass statements So yes this wife needs to be quieT She’s just like Tom Brady’s wife complaining about his teammates after they lost the Super Bowl.No man wants their wife doing that lame ass shit bringing in some unnecessary drama cause she doesn’t know when or how to communicate her thoughts

  3. Supposedly a player who was with the Miami Dolphins last year was not re-signed because his DUMB ASS WIFE,was on twitter knocking his coaches and teammates. He’s now with Tampa Bay

Dude was pretty good too.Just like the Lakers got rid of Lamar Odom because he got involved with that trash.Teams ain’t letting some uncouth woman mess up their hundred million dollar brand==============================================================================================================================

When the Buccaneers picked up Brent Grimes earlier this month, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross knew that he had washed his hands clean of both the cornerback and his outspoken wife.

Speaking at the NFL meetings Tuesday, Ross admitted the decision to part ways with Grimes was influenced by his spouse’s toxic Twitter rants.

“I think everybody knows what she represented,” Ross said, via the Palm Beach Post. “I thought it was best that the Dolphins move on from Brent and Miko.

  4. Steph Curry on Ayesha Curry’s NBA Finals Twitter controversy: ‘I might have to cut the Wi-Fi off at my house’

OAKLAND – Ayesha Curry may need a timeout from the Internet.

That was the light-hearted response from her husband on Saturday when asked about the drama surrounding Ayesha’s tweets recently, the most inflammatory of which was to accuse the NBA of rigging the Finals against the Warriors.

“What’s between me and Ayesha is – the conversations about what happened, that’s gonna be handled. But other than that, that doesn’t take any spotlight off of what my job is on the floor and what these next 48 minutes are going to be like in Game 7,” Steph Curry said. “So that’s kind of all I’m worried about. I might have to cut the Wi-Fi off at my house, though.”

Ayesha has actively and emotionally responded to key moments of the series, even targeting LeBron James for claiming he was “taking the high road” amidst criticism from the Warriors.

During Golden State’s Game 6 loss, when her husband fouled out for the first time in about three years, Ayesha, tweeted, “I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money.”

She quickly deleted the tweet, which is an accusation shared by the NBA’s No. 1 enemy Tim Donaghy and not something the league takes lightly.
