*(Los Angeles/Baltimore) — Actor Ro Brooks (The Have and Have Nots) is set to have his birthday party in his hometown, Baltimore, the city he was born and raised. The red carpet affair will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Oxygen Ultra Lounge, 10 S. Calvert St., Baltimore, MD 21202 starting at 9:00 PM.
Ro wanted to have his party in his hometown, as all of his family and friends are there and he misses them. It’s no secret that Baltimore has been in the news lately for some things that they aren’t too proud of. Ro believes that this party won’t just be a party but a MOVEMENT to help UNITE the city and show them how they can support each other’s positive strides in life and work towards becoming a better and safer city to live in and/or visit.
Baltimore’s Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will present Brooks with the city’s Mayoral Citation.
“This will be my very first party as an adult that celebrates me and I am crazy excited,” Ro says.

About Ro Brooks
Ro has been a major staple in Baltimore since 1990 when he and his rap group performed live at “Showtime at the Apollo” and became the first rap and dance group to win in the history of the show. Brooks owned the record label/record store Rome Records and two other record stores, Sounds-N-Da Hood that branded Ro as the music man.
