*INSIDE EDITION’s Steven Fabian spoke exclusively with Muhammad Ali’s second wife, Khalilah Ali, as thousands gather for the boxing legend’s Muslim funeral in his hometown of Louisville, Ky.

Boyd, who was 17-years-old when she married Ali, then converted to Islam and changed her name from Belinda Boyd to Khalilah Ali. She speaks fondly of her late former husband and tells INSIDE EDITION that she has this message for him:

“Thank you for the beautiful adventure and journey.”

Ali and Boyd had four children together including Ali’s only biological son, Muhammad Ali Jr. Now Boyd, shares a photo of her with him as he prepares for his father’s funeral. In the photo, Ali Jr. holds a poem that he’s written to his father. Boyd reads the poem to INSIDE EDITION:

“This is a story about going to bury my father, Muhammad Ali. It’s sunny not gloomy, as you can see. If he was alive he would say, ‘Even the bees love me. I must be the greatest. You see, Allah is with me. Right next to ‘Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.’ Now I’m gone, and on my daily run. Here comes another one. Father’s Day is a week away, so I’m going to take a moment to say, I know I’m early but Happy Father’s Day! I love you. – Muhammad Ali Jr.”
