Damn! Bobby Brown continues to come with the juice. For years it was rumored that Whitney Houston and her “assistant,” Robyn Crawford, were involved in a same sex relationship. Well, in the new issue of US Weekly, Bobby confirms that it’s all true.
“I know,” Brown, 47, says of his ex-wife’s relationship with Crawford, 55. “We were married for 14 years. There are some things we talked about that were personal to us.”
The story goes that Houston and Crawford met as teens when they both worked at a community center in East Orange, New Jersey, and Crawford became her assistant and later creative director, traveling the world with the Bodyguard star.
In his memoir, “*Every Little Step,” Brown says even though she was attracted to women, Houston was bisexual.
“I’m a man and she was attracted to me!” he told Us.

Although Whitney strongly denied the claims, Brown says it could have been because her family and her mother, Cissy Houston, in particular, didn’t approve of the lesbian relationship — even insisting Crawford be fired. Cissy, 82, revealed to Oprah Winfrey in 2013 that it “absolutely” would have bothered her if her daughter was gay, and she would not have condoned it.
“I really feel that if Robyn was accepted into Whitney’s life, Whitney would still be alive today,” Brown says. “She didn’t have close friends with her anymore.”
After Houston’s February 2012 death from drug overdose, Crawford wrote in a piece for Esquire that the superstar was “a loyal friend” who “looked like an angel.” “I loved her laughter, and that’s what I’ll miss most,” she wrote.
