*After Jada Pinkett Smith announced she would not return for a second season of Fox’s “Gotham,” producers of the Batman origin series surprised fans earlier this year by bringing her back for several episodes – including tonight’s season finale.

“It was as if I had taken a couple of weeks off and I was just back off of vacation. That’s exactly how it felt,” Smith said of returning to her character Fish Mooney. “There is just a natural chemistry between the cast and everyone on set that it’s just one of those rare projects where it’s like I could leave for three years and I think if I came back, it would still be the same.”

Mooney, who antagonized Oswald “The Penguin” Cobblepot throughout “Gotham’s” first season, says nothing has changed leading up to tonight’s season 2 finale. “Fish’s attention is always about Penguin and just being a pain in his butt. So that never changes,” she said. “Her flow really never changes too strongly, but she does come back new and improved this time. So if you thought she was wicked before, she’s completely beyond and out of control now.”

With her husband Will Smith set to play Deadshot (a.k.a. Floyd Lawton) in this summer’s “Suicide Squad, Jada talks about being in an all-DC Comics home during her “Gotham” season 2 run.
