*Sunday night the 2016 Billboard Awards had some interesting moments. In particular the spectacular performances by Celine Dion and Rihanna. But it was Celine’s acceptance speech for the ICON award – that was presented to her by her son – that’s got people buzzing.
She thanked her fans, family, children, and “most importantly, my beloved husband who I know will continue to watch over me from above.”
She ended her speech with these words for her late husband, “Rene, this one’s for you. The show must go on.”

As we said, Rihanna was no slouch either. The Bajan beauty did her thing to the delight of the crowd with the bluesy and emotional ballad, “Love on the Brain.” In fact, we think she just may have separated herself from the pack even more after this performance.
