*The Crying Jordan meme will never get old…and now a documentary has been made that explores its birth at the 2009 Pro Basketball Hall of Fame and its ubiquitous presence on the Internet.
Titled “Behind the Meme,” the film runs just under 6 minutes and details how the universal symbol of sorrow came to be from ESPN analyst Jay Williams, DJ Gallo of SportsPickle, and the man who took the famous photo, Associated Press photographer Stephan Savoia.
