Erica Campbell, I Luh God — Erica Campbell’s ‘I Luh God’ Nominated for Top Gospel Song

*With an already astonishing, and still growing, collection of top tier awards won for her first ever solo release, Gospel megastar Erica Campbell’s hit song “I Luh God,” scored a nomination for “Top Gospel Song” in this year’s 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

The upcoming event will be hosted by Grammy® Award winning recording artist and actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, with co-host, Grammy® Award winning singer and songwriter Ciara Princess Harris.

The 2016 Billboard Awards will take place live on Sunday May 22^nd at 8pm EST at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This year, the awards will be the first non-Pay-Per-View live broadcast event from the venue and airs live on ABC.

Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs, sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement.

Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of songs and albums, and the ultimate measure of a musician’s success.

The star’s nomination comes after Erica and husband, the Grammy® Award winning producer and label head Warryn Campbell, were selected as recipients of the 2^nd Annual BMWK Standard Awards, submitted by the Black & Married With Kids organization.

Separately the Campbell’s will also participate in the 2016 ASCAP “I Create Music” Expo, along with fellow hit songwriting couple Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. The event takes place in LA April 28^th-30^th.

With her debut solo cd release, the chart-topping Help, Campbell earned a Best Gospel Album Grammy®; a follow-up version of the cd,Help 2.0, became an instant best-seller upon release, landing at #1 and included the groundbreaking, critically acclaimed hit song and video, “I Luh God.”

Other recent high profile events for Erica included co-hosting the Dove Awards in November 2015, and, a duet with Empire’s Bryshere “Yazz” Gray and LaShawn “Big Shizz” Daniels of “I Luh God” at BET’s 2016 Celebration of Gospel Music.

Erica’s 2016 hairline “Erica by Erica Campbell,” a partnership with Vernon Martin & VeMa Couture Hair, was recently unveiled. The line includes different hair extensions and wigs that are all elegant, stylish, beautiful and affordable.
