Fantasia would score the title, but not before Elton John called the voting system “racist.”
The divas of Idol reunited on stage during last Thursday night’s Idol finale and delivered an emotional performance of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

Kobe Bryant and actor Michael B. Jordan star in a new ‘Father Time’ Apple TV commercial. It’s the latest Apple spot that highlights celebrities using its products: we’ve recently seen ads with the Cookie Monster, Taylor Swift, Audrey Plaza, and Jamie Foxx.
In the clip, Bryant and Jordan use Siri to explore the NBA app and navigate through a movie — all while referencing the end of Kobe’s 20-year NBA career.

In related news, during his final appearance as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers in their respective buildings, Kobe thanked Hakeem Olajuwon for inspiring him with his stellar career.
CBS Sports quotes Bryant as saying: “”Thank you. I watched Hakeem so much growing up — so much of him. Then t be able to come out here and him being generous enough with his time and spend the entire day with him in his house working on footwork, going over every detail in the post. Sharing his knowledge with me. Hopefully this generation understands how great he was. Hopefully they go back and watch and appreciate his greatness. I just wanted to thank him.”
