‘Thelma Houston: Motown Memories & Me’ Live in LA

* After 45 years of performing, 23 Studio Albums & a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Thelma Houston continues to celebrate her long and outstanding career and shows no signs of slowing down.

Houston launched her hit show: Motown, Memories, & Me! to sold out dates of performances in Hollywood on its most recent run.

She is now returning in April to perform a set of “Encore Performances” live in Hollywood, California.

In her critically acclaimed show, Thelma Houston: Motown, Memories, & Me! Houston takes her audience on a musical journey that chronicles her musical career sharing intimate stories and behind-the-scenes adventures against a tapestry of 23 classic Motown hits.

Houston performs classic Motown songs originally recorded by Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Martha Reeves and  the  Vandellas  and  more, leading up to her iconic Grammy Award-winning number one pop song “Don’t Leave Me This Way.”

Houston will perform two encore shows only at The Catalina Bar & Grill located at 6725 W. Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The shows will take place on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 at 8:30pm.

Doors open at 7pm for cocktail and dinner service. Single entrée or drink minimums apply. General tickets are $25-$40 per person. VIP seating is available for $60 per person and includes Front Row Seats, Signed Poster and Artist Meet and Greet.

A legendary power vocalist and Motown legend, Thelma Houston claimed the top of the Pop, R&B and Dance charts with her high-powered international hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way.”

Houston began her career singing for Capitol Records with The Art Reynolds Singers and then as a solo artist. Her version of “Don’t Leave Me This Way” took her to the status of an international star and a global hit with Motown Records.

The record soared to number one in the United States, London and other countries around the world.

Houston received accolades for her power vocals securing a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance making her the first solo female artist with Motown Records to win a Grammy Award. Her recent appearances include Fox’ American Idol, The View and America’s Got Talent.
