*Writer/journalist Ann Brown scooped an exclusive interview with Williams’ former personal assistant, Brooks Jackson Colyar.
In a story that is befitting of Women’s History Month, Colyar reveals to Brown how Williams saved her life after her devastating divorce from an almost 30-year marriage with comedian Michael Colyar.

Brooks worked for Williams from 2012 to 2015, a time period that reflected stability and growth in the comic’s career. Brooks notes that the comedian employed her when she felt destitute.
After having managed her ex-husband’s career and being lulled into a sense of false security and happiness during their relationship, she found herself suffering from depression and unemployment.
