Believe it or not, there are plans to bring former Alaska governor Sarah Palin to the small screen for her own courtroom show.

And can you believe the ironic title of the proposed show, when you think about who fronting it? Anyway, we digress.

TMZ reports that Palin will be shooting a pilot for the show, which will produced by Larry Lyttle and feature Palin in the judge’s seat. Lyttle is noted for being the man who came up with the idea 20 years ago to put New York City family court judge Judy Sheindlin (aka Judge Judy) on syndicated TV. In addition to the “Judge Judy” show, Lyttle was a producer on another successful courtroom series, “Judge Joe Brown,” which premiered in 1998 and ended in 2013.

Chatting with TMZ, Lyttle revealed he will shoot the pilot with Palin in the next few months, with plans to try and sell the show in syndication for launch in Sept., 2017. While the idea of Palin in a TV courtroom may be good, the reality is that she is not a judge.

Despite this obstacle, Lyttle emphasized that it’s not necessary for Palin to be a judge because she will preside over “the courtroom of common sense.”

“She’s appointed judges and is well equipped as a former governor to preside over cases,” Lyttle added.

If it gets the green light into syndication, Palin’s TV venture would mark her return to the small screen since starring in the TLC reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” which ran for one season from November 2010 to January 2011. In recent months, the former vice-presidential candidate has endorsed and campaigned for current Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Despite her support of Trump, Palin reportedly cancelled campaign events with the real estate mogul on March 15 to be with her husband, who was injured in a snowmobile crash the night before.
