Dutch Bros baristas praying over a woman in the drive thru who had lost her husband

*A woman was in the drive thru line at a Vancouver Dutch Bros. coffee spot when the driver in front of her happened to break down over the recent death of her husband.

She snapped a photo of what happened when the woman pulled up to the window; workers inside leaning out and laying hands on her in prayer.

The pic has since gone viral.

Snapped this picture while waiting in line at the Dutch Bros on 138th Avenue today. Turns out the young lady in line…

Pierce Dunn, one of the workers praying in the photo, said they heard her crying while ordering and were trying to empathize with the grieving woman.

“She was showing raw emotion towards us so we gave it right back to her,” Dunn said.

“She just shook all of our hands and wiped her face and said ‘thank you,'” said Evan Freeman, who also took part in the prayer. “And I think it was a genuine thank you that someone took the time and moment to say ‘I’m sorry.'”

The post, as of Wednesday afternoon, had been shared more than 104,000 times and received more than 9,000 comments, which included customers sharing their own positive experiences with the coffee chain.
