Carson Reveals ‘Advisory Capacity’ Job if Trump is Elected President

ben-carson-donald-trump*Dr. Ben Carson’s endorsement of Donald Trump looks to have an added benefit for the former GOP presidential hopeful.

In other words, now we know why he endorsed Trump.

During an appearance on “The Steve Malzberg Show,” Carson revealed that he will be working in the Trump’s administration, if the real estate mogul is voted in to the White House, Newsmax reports.

“I do believe, and certainly in my discussions with Donald Trump, he does love America and he does want to be successful. He will surround himself with very good people,” the retired neurosurgeon said Monday (Mar. 14).

While he refused to elaborate on the specific capacity he will serve or if it’s a cabinet position, Carson did mention that the position will at least be in an “advisory capacity.”

“I will be doing things as well … Certainly in an advisory capacity [in Trump’s administration],” Carson stated when asked whether he will be one those good people he referred to for Trump.

Carson’s revelation about a job with the Trump administration comes days after he dropped out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination. At this time, Trump is very close to securing the nomination after coming out on top in presidential primaries in Florida, Illinois and North Carolina on Tuesday (03-15-16).

For Carson, his inclusion into Trump’s presidential plans came after he met with the controversial billionaire politician to talk about the future. Whether or not that will include utilizing Carson’s expertise in medicine or education was a point Carson remained tight-lipped on.

“We haven’t handled out all the details but it is very important that we work together in this country,” he said. “Again, I’m not going to reveal any details about it right now because all of this is still very liquid.”

Despite the back and forth he engaged in with Trump during the campaign for the Republican nomination, Carson admits his endorsement of Trump stems from him being “a big picture guy.”

“I recognize that he’s bringing in [to the Republican Party] a lot of people who were not interested in coming in before. A lot of those people were coming with me as well,” Carson said.

“Even if Donald Trump turns out not to be such a great president, which I don’t think is the case, I think he’s going to surround himself with really good people, but even if he didn’t, we’re only looking at four years as opposed to multiple generations and perhaps the loss of the American dream forever.”
