*Kendrick Lamar will follow up his Grammy award with something perhaps even more meaningful to him, personally.

The Compton rapper will head to Brooklyn in April to induct legendary hip-hop group N.W.A. into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the hall announced Monday.

The group, straight outta Lamar’s hometown, was interviewed by the rapper in August for Billboard.

“I’m trippin’ out right now looking at ya’ll right here,” he said, freaking out before his Q&A with Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, and MC Ren.

Steve Miller, Deep Purple, Chicago, and Cheap Trick will join N.W.A. in the 2016 induction class, with Kid Rock on hand to introduce Cheap Trick. He and Lamar have joined other presenters The Black Keys, Lars Ulrich, and Rob Thomas.

The 31st Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center April 8, with HBO filming the event for an April 30 broadcast.
