*50 Cent is bringing the past into his bankruptcy case with claims that creditors are out to make him their slave.
According to TMZ, 50 is responding to the case as he told the judge that his biggest creditors — Sleek Audio, SunTrust Bank and Lastonia Leviston – are violating the U.S. Constitution’s 13th Amendment with their request for approval of a plan they came up with for the G-Unit leader to pay back the more than $30 million he owes them.
The 13th amendment bans slavery and involuntary servitude. Leviston is noted for being the ex-girlfriend of rapper Rick Ross and winning a lawsuit where she sued the 50 Cent for invading her privacy by posting a sex tape of her and another man online. As a result, the “In da Club” rhymesayer was ordered to pay Leviston $7 million.
In 50’s eyes, the creditors’ payback plan would create “a near-indefinite period of involuntary indentured servitude” that results in him working solely for the creditors’ benefit.
“The plan conditions [50’s] access to food and shelter on the whims of the trustee, who answers only to the [creditors],” the rapper added while claiming the plan amounts to “compulsive labor.”
That said, 50 states the creditors’ plan is unconstitutional.
