In addition to Lalah Hathaway, Kindred the Family Soul featured on closing night at the 2016 ATL Soul Life Music Festival

The beloved Grammy-nominated duo, Kindred the Family Soul will show 2016 attendees why they are also returning artists to the festival. This duo is the chosen to close out the second night as the headliner.

Fondly known as the First Couple of Soul to some, they are sure to take attendees on a musical journey with songs from their 2003 debut album, Surrender to Love which peaked at #159 on the Billboard 200 and #29 on the Billboard R&B chart through delights on their critically successful 2014-released album, A Couple Friends.

Myron Ruffin, show broker and co-producer of the Fest is excited to welcome Grammy Nominated and Billboard charting, Angie Stone as she celebrates an impressive 37-year musical career.

With her seventh studio album, Dream, debuting at No. 59 on Billboard 200 and No. 3 at Top Hip-Hop/R&B Albums chart, in November, Stone will show attendees why she remains “in-demand as one of the most revered and recognizable voices of Neo Soul.” (SoulTracks)

Singer-songwriter-pianist Avery*Sunshine will bring her “unique mix of R&B, jazz, soul, hip-hop and gospel melodies – dubbed “jazzgosoul” by a friend (which) has led to collaborations with… Anthony Hamilton, (and) famed pianist David Foster…” (Creative Loafing Atlanta) to the festival stage for the second year in a row.

The addition of Rahsaan Patterson and Goapele is an incredible round-out of an entertainment experience not-to-be-missed!” The talented and critically acclaimed Patterson whose Love In Stereo album just made SoulTracks’ “50 Greatest Soul Music Album Covers” is set to release a new album soon. Perhaps, there’ll be a newly released single showcasing his powerhouse vocals for attendees to enjoy.

“This spiritual love child of Sade and D’Angelo mixes sweet soul vocals, jazz funk instrumentation and hip hop rhythms by underground Bay Area beatmasters. Goapele can kick it in the streets as in the lounge.”

Rolling Stone magazine’s praise of the sultry vocalist solidly confirms why co-producers, JD and Myron added her to this impeccable 2016 line-up.
