Meek Mill Sentenced to House Arrest & Six Years Probation

*Upon hearing of rapper Meek Mill‘s sentence by a judge in Philadelphia, we’re tempted to say, “well, at least he not doing it in jail.” But house-arrest is no joke, either.

Here’s how it breaks down.

Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, will have to serve a minimum of 90 days on house arrest beginning March 1. Though he will not be able to work for three full months, the judge has allowed him to do homeless charity work in the Philly area.

“After 90-day house arrest, judge will decide whether he can work,” tweeted Allyn. “If he violates, judge will likely throw Meek in jail, prosecutor says.”
