According to a notice emailed to the Electronic Urban Report/EUR, South Los Angeles based civil rights organization, Project Islamic Hope, along with a coalition of religious and civil rights organizations, will protest the Oscar’s nominees luncheon in support of the Oscar’s boycott.

“We’re not just asking African-American talent not to attend the Oscars we’re asking the entire industry to support the boycott and show their solidarity in support of diversity,” says Najee Ali, director of Project Islamic Hope. “The white Hollywood community has a large segment of liberal, politically-conscious actors, writers and directors. Our coalition is asking that white Hollywood take a stand against racism and support the boycott as well.

Ali continued …

“For anyone who decides to attend this year’s #Oscars so white ceremonies. Please wear a black ribbon or black arm band in support of diversity.”
