*Award winning stage play, television, and motion picture actor Tony Grant portrays James Cornelius in new film “The Last Punch” (aka: Drama in Bahamas).
“The Last Punch” is based on a true story that is centered around Muhammad Ali’s final and most infamous fight. Grant’s portrayal of Cornelius displays his incredible acting skills that will leave viewers captivated and applauding for more.
The film chronicles Muhammad Ali’s challenge to regain the title after the world declared him finished. It is a story of two men, fighting for a chance to prove to the world anything is possible, if given the opportunity. James Cornelius had never promoted a fight before, and was looked at as a “street hustler”.
This is not your typical “Ali” film. Although others have been good, none have been able to allow viewers to learn the inside story or battles outside the ring centered around this historical fight.
The movie honors and celebrates the great legacy of the greatest heavyweight boxing champion, fighter, and humanitarian of all times: Muhammad Ali.
The film also features legendary actor, Keith David, David Banner, RonReaco Lee and Karon Joseph.
In addition to “The Last Punch”, Grant can been seen weekly in “Love Thy Neighbor” as Phillip. This is a Tyler Perry sitcom aired on OWN Network. Grant can also be seen across the nation as a solo vocalist performing his new single titled, “Yesterday”.
