Iggy Azalea Says Fiance Nick Young Doesn’t Want to Pay for Wedding

Nick, Iggy*Iggy Azalea and L.A. Laker Nick Young have been dating since November 2013, and the couple announced their engagement last June.

The Australian rapper has been spilling details about her big day ever since, confirming the date – to take place in Los Angeles – and she has also secured the photographer and venue where her wedding will be held. What doesn’t come as a surprise about her planning is that she’s footing most of cost, as she revealed to TMZ.

Iggy recently told TMZ paps that Nick doesn’t want to come out of his own pocket to ensure their white wedding will be as magical as she’s imagined. Nick would rather pay for them to hold a small ceremony at a courthouse.

Check out the video below, in which the Grammy-nominated rapper proclaims “He doesn’t wanna pay for sh*t.”

Is he still willing to pay for the food at least? That’s what he told ET he wanted to be his only responsibility. “[I] told her I would do the food part,” he said, “and she would do everything else.”

Last month, Nick said that wedding planning with Iggy has been a “nightmare.”

“Whew, a nightmare in its own,” the Los Angeles Lakers star, 30, told Billboard of planning his nuptials with the “Fancy” rapper, 25. “I think we should go to the courthouse. It’s tough, it takes a lot of time and compromising and arguing but eventually the women always win. I think wedding days should just be women’s day.”

During a Q&A with fans on Twitter last June, Azalea confirmed that she’s planning a traditional wedding, and she’s “def wearing white or ivory.” She also shared details about the nuptials with Hamish and Andy, saying she wanted a string quartet to play at the wedding.

“My stepmother, she plays the cello, so I just think that string instruments are so beautiful,” Azalea explained. “Whatever it is, it has to be string instruments – they always make everybody cry.”

Hmm, we won’t be all that shocked if Iggy and Nick never make it down the aisle.
