*BET brought together a heck of a line up for the 2016 “Celebration of Gospel!”
For starters, mega stars like Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar and Erica Campbell take the stage with popular secular artists like Chaka Khan, Chrisette Michelle and Anthony Hamilton.
Now for those who disagree with the gospel sharing a stage with “secular” artists, Yolanda Adams and Dr. Bobby Jones give you something to think about. Speaking of one of the “Queens of Gospel,” Ms. Yolanda Adams probably gave the best performance of the night. You must tune in to view. On the carpet, we asked if she was coming out with a new record and she said yes!
But this story wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Erica Campbell. Erica is not finished yet, she exclaimed. This woman is a hustler with something always up her sleeve.  🙂  Her secret weapon of choice was Bryshere Gray aka Yazz the Greatestof “Empire” fame. In short, he loves her hit song, “I Luh God” … his people called her people, and #boom, Magic! This young man is making his mark on the industry and Christians. Despite what you think you know about him, he said, “It’s time for new beginnings.”  And what better way than to luh God?
Other honorable mentions are Chaka and Donnie McClurkin, Shirley and Anthony Hamilton and the super talented Kirk Franklin! He was amazing! Newcomer Travis Greene had everyone standing on their feet as he remixed his hit single “Intentional” with Tye Tribbett, Jonathan McReynolds and the beautiful Chrisette Michele. Again … BEST CELEBRATION OF GOSPEL EVER.
