*Oprah Winfrey’s OWN has ordered eight additional episodes of the network’s popular Saturday night freshman docu-series “Livin’ Lozada” featuring reality star Evelyn Lozada and a new eight-episode season of “Flex & Shanice” following the lives of husband and wife celebrity duo Flex Alexander and Shanice Wilson. The  new episodes will premiere later this year.

“Flex & Shanice” follows the lives of husband and wife duo, actor Flex Alexander (“One on One”), and Grammy-nominated singer Shanice (“I Love Your Smile”). Five years ago when they were struggling financially, the couple invited their hilarious extended family to move in to help make ends meet and they never moved out. The added support allows Flex & Shanice to work hard at reinventing their careers while trying to hold it together long enough to capture that one big break before it’s time to chase another dream.

The premiere season of “Livin’ Lozada” was the highest-rated freshman season ever for an OWN docu-series for women 18-49. It follows the lives of Evelyn Lozada, of “Basketball Wives” fame, and her 22-year-old daughter Shaniece. The second season finds Evelyn and her fiancé, LA Dodgers star Carl Crawford, leaving the glitz of Hollywood for their offseason home in Arizona. As the big 4-0 approaches, Evelyn feels more pressure than ever about conceiving a child and giving her young son, Leo, another sibling. Meanwhile, Shaniece is blazing her own path working in the fast-paced world of modeling.

The second cycle of “Flex & Shanice” was up +22% in women 25-54 versus its premiere cycle. In addition, the recent finales of “Flex & Shanice and “Livin Lozada” on August 29 ranked as the top two unscripted season finales in OWN history for women 25-54. Both  shows also helped the cabler finish 2015 as Saturday night’s second most watched network for African-American women.
