Funnee: Kevin Hart Remembers When He Saved Lady Gaga’s Life

kevin-hart-lady-gaga*Remember that time Kevin Hart saved Lady Gaga’s life?

If not, don’t worry. Hart has you covered.

The “Ride Along 2” star detailed the circumstances that prompted him to shift to hero mode during an appearance on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” on Tuesday (Jan. 12).

According to Hart, the moment took place during Sunday night’s Golden Globes after Gaga accepted the award for best performance by an actress in a miniseries or motion picture made for television for her work  in  “American Horror Story: Hotel.” Hart was on stage at the time as a presenter.

“Lady Gaga, she got an award,” the comedian told host Ellen DeGeneres. “And what people don’t know, after she got the award, she was walking off and she fell. I, like, had to catch her. And when I caught her I said, ‘I just want you to realize how big my arms are. They’re just … it could have been bad. It could have been really bad for you, but I saved your life.’”

When DeGeneres asked how far Gaga fell, Hart went on to say that he didn’t let the singer fall as far as she could have “because he’s a hero.”

“The thing is like she was on her way down. It could have been brutal, you know, we’re talking blood, broken bones,” Hart shared as the audience responded with laughs. “But the inner hero in me grabbed her and my instincts kicked in, and I immediately cleared the camera. ‘MOVE!’ And then I had her and she was gasping for air. It was a moment. It was, like, a thing, and I was like, ‘I’m engaged.’”

Speaking of his engagement to Eniko Parrish, Hart revealed that he will be getting married on August 8th, 2016.

“The chocolate is going in the fridge!” the funnyman shouted while noting that he doesn’t want to have much to do with the planning of the wedding. For him, occasion is Parrish’s special day.

“I don’t wanna answer one question,” Hart said. “I just want a piece of chicken!”
