*ABC News correspondent Mara Schiavocampo has given birth to a baby boy, Cruz Achille Porter, born Monday morning in New York, the network reports.
“Achille was my grandfather’s name,” Schiavocampo said.
Cruz, who was due Jan. 11, arrived early and quickly – just ten minutes after Schiavocampo and her husband, Tommie Porter, arrived at the hospital; before they had time to finish the paperwork to be admitted.
It’s the second child for the couple, who have a four-year-old daughter.
Schiavocampo’s 2014 book Thinspired: How I Lost 90 Pounds — My Plan for Lasting Weight Loss and Self-Acceptance, has just been released on paperback.
