Perez Hilton: Miss Colombia was a ‘Straight-Up Diva Bitch’ During Pageant

Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez and PerezHilton*Perez Hilton is taking it upon himself to give folks the inside scoop on what went down at this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

Page Six references an interview Hilton did Tuesday (Dec. 22) with “Good Morning America” that found him slamming Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez for a bad attitude she displayed during the event. In Hilton’s opinion, this was the reason why she ended up not being worthy to be crowned Miss Universe, compared to woman who captured the title, Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.

“As a judge, and I’m looking at everything that happened, I see her [Miss Colombia] posting on Instagram that she’s the true winner,” said Hilton, who served as one of the Miss Universe pageant judges. “There’s a reason — many reasons — that she didn’t win.”

Hilton’s comments come after he slammed Guitierrez in a podcast on Monday (Dec. 21). That same day, she posted a picture on social media of her wearing the Miss Universe crown alongside a caption that read, “FOREVER YOUR MISS UNIVERSE!! COLOMBIA !!!!!!!”

Needless to say, Hilton went totally in on the runner-up with no hesitation.

“I don’t know if the people at home could see this, but Miss Colombia was being a straight-up diva bitch,” he said about Guitierrez’s attitude after the judges pressed her on why she deserved to be Miss Universe. “[She was] rude to her translator. She was giving the most awful side-eye, throwing major shade … Miss Colombia was not happy with the pace or the way that the translator was translating.”

“She came across not just to me, but several of the other judges [who included Olivia Culpo, actress Niecy Nash and NFL great Emmitt Smith] bitchy and arrogant. It was that Miss Philippines gave a better answer,” Hilton continued.

Guitierrez wasn’t the only one being slammed by Hilton. According to reports, the gossip blogger also had words about Miss Universe pageant host Steve Harvey, who infamously announced Guitierrez as the winner before realizing that Wurtzbach was the true winner.

“[Harvey] just didn’t do his job well, period.” Hilton told “GMA” regarding Harvey’s performance on Sunday (Dec. 20). “There is a prompter but the moment where he crowns the winner isn’t on the prompter because that moment, they don’t want the other girls to know, so it was just on his card and he read it incorrectly.”

Despite Harvey apologizing multiple times for his mistake and calling it “an honest mistake,” an insider told “Entertainment Tonight” that the syndicated radio and daytime TV show host missed the end of the Miss Universe rehearsals.

“Steve went to the beginning of rehearsals, but missed the last hour, at least,” the source claimed. “He did not practice the ending.”
