Christina Milian Recalls Moment Ex-boyfriend Tried to Kill Her

Christina Milian*During a recent episode of her reality show, Christina Milian opened up about the time an abusive boyfriend almost killed her. Weezy’s part-time lover told a journalist on her series “Turned Up,” that her abuser “put a bullet in the gun and pointed it at my face.”

“Staring down the barrel of a gun is the scariest thing you could ever experience,” she said. “It’s not funny, it’s not for the movies. There’s a chance of life or death in one click, that’s it.”

She continued to explain how the one thing that attracted her to the ex turned out to be “something a little bit more dark.”

“So I was 17 going into 18 and I met a boy and he had this sarcasm about him that I just thought was super funny,” she said, Page Six reports, according to an E! recap of Tuesday night’s episode of “Turned Up.” “But that sarcasm turned out to be something a little bit more dark and I had no idea what I was getting myself into.”

She also recalled a time she tried calling for help from a gas station but her abusive boyfriend grabbed her by the head and dragged her back while people watched.

“And all you could hope for is that someone will save you,” she said. “But at the same time, you don’t know how to save yourself.”

Milian’s mom saved her life when she encouraged her daughter to finally get out of the volatile environment and move to New York.

“I woke up one day and realized that my family was just trying to help me,” she said. “And gave myself the courage and the strength to not call him and invite him back into my life.”

Christina’s mom Carmen recalled moments from her daughter’s domestic drama. “I remember he instilled that fear in you that if you left him he would hurt us and because of that you stayed in it,” she said.

Christina now uses her experience to help enhance her role as brand ambassador for the app Stop Attack, which, when activated, becomes a “virtual witness to assaults (verbal or physical) capturing moment-by-moment details via video and audio recordings.”
