Westbrook’s Name on Practice Court; Tracy Morgan’s Surprise Comedy Set

russell-westbrook-*Russell Westbrook literally guaranteed his place among the sports greats at his alma mater UCLA because the school named its basketball practice court after him.

The honor, which was announced by UCLA, stemmed from a donation the  ex-Bruin made that was reportedly the largest given by a former men’s basketball player in the school’s history. Terms of the donation were not disclosed.

UCLA’S honoring of Westbrook will take place when the Bruins take on the Arizona Wildcats on January 7. Those who attend the game will receive a commemorative pair of eyeglass frames in an effort to be as stylish as the Oklahoma City Thunder guard.

Tracy-MorganAs Westbrook gets honored at his old school with the start of the New Year, Tracy Morgan is testing the waters of his return to comedy with a surprise appearance at a Manhattan comedy club last weekend.

Page Six got word from a “spy” that the former “30 Rock” star did an “hilarious and inspiring” 20-minute impromptu set about recovering from his fatal 2014 car accident upon arriving at New York Comedy Club with fellow comic Sherrod Small.

“The first thing he asked when the doctors told him he was in an accident [was] if his d–k was all right,” the source said about Morgan’s set. He then went on to talk about speech therapy and “how he had to explain to the therapist that [his brain wasn’t injured], this was just his natural way of speaking.”
