*Oprah Winfrey has reportedly taken her media empire to the next level with a newly signed book deal.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Winfrey is putting her life story to print with “The Life You Want, a book that finds the former daytime TV queen inspiring “other people to live the highest, fullest expression of themselves.” The publication notes the highly anticipated deal included a highly secretive book advance that was described as super large.
“A Winfrey book likely netted one of the largest advances in publishing history,” the Reporter stated. “With the possible exception of Barbra Streisand, there’s no entertainment figure whose life story would generate as much interest — or as large an advance — as Oprah’s memoir.”
Scheduled to hit stores in January 2017, “The Life You Want” will be the first release on Winfrey’s new publishing imprint. Media sources note the company will publish a handpicked selection of nonfiction books each year.
