*Finding and developing new on-camera talent is the goal for the 2nd Annual TV Hosting Workshop, an effort stemming from a partnership between NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and the American Black Film Festival (ABFF).

The three-day workshop, which runs from April 8 to April 10, 2016 in New York City, will be taught by premiere host instructor and geared for those with some hosting experience who want to sharpen their hosting skills and techniques, according to a press release. Organizers are looking for candidates drawing upon diverse backgrounds.

Goals for the workshop include helping participants re-invent their brand and enhancing their on-camera performance as well as reading and writing copy; strengthening co-hosting, teleprompter and auditioning skills; and learning invaluable career tips.

Top select workshop participants will meet with NBCU talent and casting executives from the E! Network and receive the opportunity to host a red carpet event during the ABFF, which will be held June 15-19, 2016 in Miami.

Top performers, who will be announced at the festival’s awards ceremony, will receive one festival credential and airfare to the event.

Those who plan on apply for the workshop must be at least 21 years of age, and permanent, legal United States residents. In addition, applicants must be available to participate in the workshop for all three scheduled days as well as be able to provide their own housing and transportation to New York for the duration of the workshop.

You do not need to be based in New York City to be considered, the release notes.

The deadline to submit an application for the workshop is February 26, 2016. To apply, click HERE.
