50-derekMeanwhile, a dispute over underwear between Derek Jeter and Frigo has turned 50 Cent into a Mets fan. Jeter is being sued by the company for nearly $5 million in Sweden for backing out on his promotional duties for the brand, after the Swedish underwear named 50 Cent as its brand ambassador.

According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Jeter left the company because he thought the rapper was making the image too “urban.”

50 Cent responded to the report on Instagram Wednesday, saying:

“Wow, guess I’m not a Yankees fan anymore,” the New York emcee writes for the caption of a picture of Jeter in his Yankees uniform. “LETS GO METS? Man you can’t trust nobody these day.smh #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”

Adam Handelsman, who launched Frigo via his SpecOps Communications firm, told Page Six, “I really felt for Mathias (CEO Mathias Ingvarsson). This guy worked so hard and invested millions . . . To say it’s an extremely difficult position to be in — it’s go-time on a massive campaign to launch an underwear brand and the principal celebrity owner backs out at the last-minute — is an understatement.”
