*(New York ) – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) hosted their 7th Annual “Women Behind The Music” series on Wednesday, October 28th at Subrosa in New York City.
This year’s one-city series, which encourages and recognizes women in the music community, honored the trailblazing and GRAMMY® Award-Wining rap group, Salt-N-Pepa, for their 30-year career and accomplishments within the music business.
The evening featured musical sounds by DJ Quiana Parks and a special performance of hit single “Shoop”by Salt-N-Pepa themselves.
ASCAP’s EVP Membership John Titta and VP Membership, Rhythm & Soul Nicole George-Middletonwere also in attendance and presented Salt-N-Pepa with honorary plaques for their monumental contributions to the music community. The intimate evening offered sponsored pours of BelAire Rose.
