Watch Ann Coulter Call Out Raven-Symone on ‘Watermelondrea’ (Video)

the view - oct 16, 2015

*Raven-Symone, who offended the Internet last week with her comments against “ghetto names,” made a point of interrupting ultra-conservative guest Ann Coulter on “The View” Friday to ask why she seems to enjoy offending people.

It appeared as if Coulter was just waiting for the 29-year-old actress to open her mouth.

“I’m at least talking about policy,” Coulter snapped back. “You have a position on what people’s names should be. Watermelondrea! I mean you’ll insult people for their names.”

Surprisingly, Raven-Symone had no retort.

Watch below:

Coulter was on the ABC daytime show to promote her new anti-immigration book, Adios America.

“The View” contributors Ana Navarro and Padma Lakshmi just so happened to be co-hosting this morning, so you know all hell broke loose.

Navarro, who was born in Nicaragua before her family immigrated to the States, first corrected Coulter on the proper pronunciation of the word adios. Before this moment happened, Coulter explained that she backs Donald Trump on his opinion that America should exclude people from “very poor, very backwards countries.”

Lakshmi, the Indian-born host of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” told Coulter, “My mother came to this country in the 70s because there was a shortage of medical professionals who could do the job.”

Coulter told Lakshmi, “That’s very unusual, though.”

“Not really,” said Lakshmi.

Regulars Joy Behar and Michelle Collins, also at the table, interrupted at various points to challenge Coulter.

  1. I am sure that Raven now feels remorse for her comment last week. I believe Raven did the best thing to not respond, because it could have gone an entirely different way. Sometimes, silence is golden.

    • Not an Ann Coulter fan, although I believe people would listen to what she has to say if she tempered her attitude somewhat. I believe her message to an an extent is true. Until the U.S. can take care of the poor here, they should not take on another country’s poor. As for the ladies at the table I would say, if you can come here legally, be productive, pay taxes, you have every right to be here. That goes for all immigrants. As for Raven, I find it laughable that ANYONE on the View panel would make such a statement as “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” By those standards, they would all sit in silence.

  2. Apparently Raven is not going by what she was taught. She has insulted her race and gender by saying that she is not African American or gay so why the hell is this b!tch always eager to give an opinion. This girl or whatever she call’s herself is very confused and troubled.

  3. Joy needs to keep her mouth closed when medical professions are being discussed. First the nurses, now the doctors. Wonder if she knows that many, if not most, of the doctors she’s talking about got their education from the country they came from. Look it up. And Raven Simone is a priviledged brat. She can name call and put down people daily, I’m glad Ann put her in her place. None of them heard what she had to say, unfortunately. They’re too busy looking for the points they can criticize. Watch for the the View to get it’s pink slip before long. The new hosts aren’t saving them. Whoopie has read the tea leaves. She’s got a TV show and a movie coming out….speaks volumes. Watch for her departure soon.

  4. I am not a fan of Ann Coulter, but it sad that she, of ALL people had to check her azz. I stood up and clapped!!!!! Nothing from Whoopi or any one else!!!!
