*Alfonso Ribeiro will pinch hit for “Dancing With the Stars” host Tom Bergeron on Monday’s episode.
The Season 19 champion, who also took over for Bergeron as host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” in May, will stand in for his friend once again as the host takes time off to be with his ailing father.
Bergeron took to Twitter on Sunday to make the announcement: “I’ll miss 2morrow’s #dwts to be at my Dad’s bedside. He’s given me a lifetime of support. Time to return the favor,” he wrote, along with a photo of him sitting on his father’s lap as a boy.

Ribeiro posted the pic of Bergeron and his dad to Instagram, and added the caption: “I will be there with a heavy heart for my friend Tom and the Bergeron family.”
