*Tom Hanks’ son says he was so hell-bent on arguing for his right to say the N-word because he was high on cocaine.

Chet Hanks, who ranted endlessly that he had every right to say the racial slur whenever and wherever he wanted, now says it was his drug addiction talking.

“It’s not my place to speak on it and I’m genuinely sorry for the people that I offended,” he says in a video posted to Instagram.

Chet, who used to go by the rap name Chet Haze, says he’s been in rehab for cocaine addiction that got so bad his nose was clogged. He adds that the pressure of being Tom Hanks’ son also contributed to his addiction.
