*TMZ caught Whoopi Goldberg outside of ABC’s studios Wednesday and asked her about reports that she feels like a slave at “The View.”

The Daily Mail reported Tuesday that Whoopi was going around the offices calling herself a slave after she was cut out of an editorial meeting.

TMZ’s pap referred to the incident as a “meltdown,” but Whoopi made it absolutely clear that it wasn’t a “meltdown.”

“I don’t do meltdowns. I’m a grown woman, man, and I don’t do meltdowns,” she told the photographer.

But she did suggest that her role on the show was being undermined, saying, “I guess people can’t just let me be me and do my job. Everybody wants to do my job. But I don’t have meltdowns.”

The Daily Mail report named new producer Candi Carter as the source of Whoopi’s frustration. A source told the publication: “Upset at the changes that Candi has implemented in the show, and not liking the way Candi speaks to the talent, Whoopi blew up a few days ago. She told Candi: ‘I don’t take orders from your a**. Stay in your lane like you did when you worked on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”’”

Unfortunately, the TMZ pap didn’t ask Whoopi if the reports of her calling herself a slave were true.

  1. Bill S., your comments reveal your lack of common sense and ability to be objective. Anytime, you have the Chief declaring his inability to explain why one of his officers killed someone and really didn’t have to, that’s strong foundation to bring to trial and allow a jury of peers to make a decision of guilty or not guilty. May one day you and common sense meet each other.
