*Bravo has confirmed Kim Fields has landed a permanent role in Season 8 of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” while newcomer Shamea Morton and former “Atlanta” housewife Shereè Whitfield will be featured in recurring roles, Page Six reports.

“So excited to announce I’ll be appearing on season 8 of #RHOA,” Fields tweeted. “Looking forward to a great season!!”

Kim became a TV star in the 1980s playing Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsay on the classic sitcom, “The Facts of Life.” She has appeared in more than a dozen TV shows since.

Fields joins returning cast member Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burress, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks, (her husband Apollo Nida remains behind bars for his $2.3 million bank fraud), and Porsha Williams, who was demoted to a “friend of the housewives” for Season 7, and has now been upgraded to the full-time cast. As previously reported, season 7 “housewife” Claudia Jordan is not coming back.

The upcoming season will be the first without longtime housewife NeNe Leakes, who announced her departure from the franchise earlier this year. It is rumored that she was replaced by transgender model Amiyah Scott, who could appear in the show as Bravo filmed scenes with her earlier this summer. NeNe has denied Scott was hired to replace her.

Meanwhile, mom-to-be Kandi, who is wed to Todd Tucker, recently shared her estimated due date via Instagram, writing:

“My #Babybump is getting out there now! Can’t wait to meet you #BabyTucker!. My baby is suppose to be a #Capricorn. Bringing in #2016 with a bang,” she wrote.

Kenya says she wants to “date like man” and Cynthia tells Portia, “People call you stupid, but I know you not actually that damn stupid.”

Catfights, a martial crisis and a pregnancy are among the high drama and twists when the show returns to Bravo on Nov. 8.
