*Angela Bassett had already hinted that her character on “American Horror Story: Hotel” is interested in the ladies – but she revealed today the identity of at least one character that will engage Ramona Royale.
“She’s a good kisser!” the actress said of Lady Gaga, who plays The Countess.
“First time I met her, she had a party for the cast and crew and that was a first meeting… she was in this beautiful gown that was sort of see-though and vintage and a diamond necklace… and I’m just trying to be cool. She said, ‘Are you nervous? I hear you are nervous.’ I said, ‘Yes.’ She said, ‘Don’t be nervous. I know about these things. I have been there.’ I was like, ‘Okay!'” Angela recalled during a visit to “Access Hollywood Live!”
At the party, which happened to take place on Angela’s birthday, Gaga presented her on-screen love interest with a special gift.
“Then she brought me out a birthday cake… and what she was doing to me on this cake… [it was] an X rated cake!” Angela said with a laugh, explaining that she then asked Gaga, “Would that be foreplay?”
Angela had reservations about getting so up close and personal with the larger-than-life music icon, but was surprised when she got to know her better.
“She’s the nicest person. She is warm and gracious and funny. She makes everybody feel comfortable and she’s comfortable with herself. So, no one is tripping except for me,” she said.
And after shooting one of their intimate scenes, Angela stunned Gaga.
“[They] said cut and I jumped and she said, ‘That’s the fastest anyone has jumped out of the bed with me,'” Angela said with a laugh.
