Emmy Winner Regina King Joins Cast of HBO’s ‘The Leftovers’

*Fresh from her Emmy win, Regina King fans will get more of her dramatic flair as a new cast member of  The Leftovers,” which premieres Sunday, October 4th at 9 pm on HBO.

Regina  will play Dr. Erika Murphy, a wife, mother and new resident of Jarden, Texas.  As if the town isn’t mysterious enough, the Murphy family will spice things up even more as each episode peels away more layers of drama and intrigue.

Regina’s win as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for American Crime should come as no surprise to Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, creators of “The Leftovers.”  Regina’s talent was a natural addition to the show and she brings it in grand style, per usual.

“The Leftovers” also stars Justin Theroux and Carrie Coon.
