*The blowback from Donald Trump‘s lack of action at his recent New Hampshire rally seems to be getting to him based on how he’s handling the situation.
On Thursday, at that rally, a “fan” of the leading GOP presidential candidate said: “We have a problem in this country, it’s called Muslims. Our current President is one. We know he’s not even an American.”
Trump’s response was, “rright,” seemingly agreeing with the man. He didn’t make any effort to correct the audience member and note that the President of the United States is both an American and a Christian.
Like we said, he’s been getting a lot of “incoming” for his lack of leadership in the situation. So naturally and predictably he’s gone elementary school route for his response, saying that it’s not his job to defend Obama via a couple of tweets Saturday.
Am I morally obligated to defend the president every time somebody says something bad or controversial about him? I don't think so!

And of course if the roles were reversed, Trump predicts Obama would do the same.
If someone made a nasty or controversial statement about me to the president, do you really think he would come to my rescue? No chance!
