Meagan Good Says She ‘Manifested’ Her Role in ‘Minority Report’

*Meagan Good is calling her new TV gig a “blessing.”

The actress returns to television Monday (Sept. 21) in the new Fox drama “Minority Report,” a continuation of Steven Spielberg’s 2002 film starring Tom Cruise. Good takes over his role as a police detective attempting to prevent crimes before they happen.

“Last year I said to myself that this was exactly the thing that I wanted to do, and a year later, it manifested,” Good said of her TV gig, also executive produced by Spielberg’s Amblin Television. “I’m so happy that these guys saw me in the role and believed in me and that Steven saw the tape and hired me as well. It just feels really, really good.”

Good, who top-lined the short-lived NBC drama “Deception” in 2013, is again one of the few black women to lead or co-lead a prime time drama, joining Halle Berry, Taraji P. Henson, Nicole Beharie, Kerry Washington and Viola Davis.
