*Wiz Khalifa and weed go so far back that the rapper’s love affair with the drug can be attributed to his mother.
The Daily Mirror cites a chat with The Sun had with Katie ‘Peachie’ Wimbush-Polk in which she claimed that she got Khalifa hooked on weed when he was just a teenager. So much so that they would find themselves smoking before he went to school.
“Before I went to work, before he went to school, it was our way of bonding,” Wimbush-Polk claimed about her famous son. “We would smoke together. He got his habit from his mother.”
The 51-year-old goes on to detail how started Khalifa started young with him allegedly smelling the smoke when her and her friends were together.
“When he got older, he would steal the marijuana butts I would leave, and smoke them,” Wimbush-Polk added.
Khalifa’s love of weed is a well-known fact. The Mirror notes that the “See You Again” rapper even admitted to spending around $10,000 a month to fund his weed fix.
Wimbush-Polk’s claims come as the rumor mill spreads chatter about Khalifa dating singer Rita Ora after they were spotted on a series of dates together. At this time, there is no confirmation from Khalifa or Ora regarding any romance between them.
