*“The Hollywood Confidential” is an event designed to educate aspiring industry professionals on the inner workings of the industry from a panel of veterans.
Now in its third year, “Confidential” is the brainchild of marketing and branding expert Steven Jones who’s also CEO of Brand Maverick Entertainment.
This year’s panel series honored Sanaa Lathan & Michael Ealy, two of the stars of “The Perfect Guy” which is opening this weekend. They were on hand to discuss the film which is about a professional woman (Lathan) who breaks up with her boyfriend (Morris Chestnut) and proceeds to get involved with a man who seems to the perfect guy, but trust us, he’s anything but.
Walgreens and The Steve & Majorie Harvey Foundation presented the awards to Lathan & Ealy who both shared with attendees how they got their start in the industry. The audience was also treated to the extended trailer of the film. Electronic Urban Report/EUR associate H’erica Thompson was on the scene to cover.
