*Idris Elba serves as an executive producer on “The Crusaders,” an hourlong drama penned by Thomas Ikimi and newly acquired by Fox, reports The Wrap.
The project from Legendary Television centers around an extended family of second-generation Africans living in the U.S., who specialize in locating and returning valuable objects stolen from Africa during colonial occupation.
Elba executive produces alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Dan McDermott of di Bonaventura TV.
Ikimi previously wrote and directed the film “Legacy,” starring Elba. His short film “Nostradamus” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.
