*Dennis Haysbert has joined the cast of “Undercover,” the limited series set to air next year on the BBC and BBC America.
As previously reported, the six-part series stars Sophie Okonedo as Maya, the first black woman to hold the highest-ranking public prosecutor role in England. But her life begins to unravel when she discovers her husband Nick (Adrian Lester), and the father of her children, may be having an affair.
Their lives will intertwine with Haysbert’s character, a man who has been wrongly imprisoned and on death row for 20 years in the U.S.
The script, written by Peter Moffat, involves parallel stories that unfold in the U.S. and U.K. in different time periods. Production is currently taking place in Louisiana and in the U.K.
