*Although Kevin Gates has lost a fan in Miranda Dixon, the 18-year-old confessed that she has forgiven the rapper for kicking her at a recent concert in Florida.
“I forgive him – I forgive everyone,” Dixon told ABC Action News when asked how she felt after the incident. “I just wish he would have never done it, and I’m not a fan of him anymore.”
Despite earlier reports mentioning she was kicked in the face, Dixon revealed that she was actually kicked in the chest and the pain from the action still hasn’t gone away.
“It still hurts so much, that is why I try not to talk too much, or even walk around,” she said.
Dixon’s comments come after Gates addressed the incident on a song titled “The Truth.” On the track, the rapper labeled Dixon as a woman who “wasn’t respecting” herself. Gates states that the teen pulled out her breast and grabbed his penis several times in an attempt to get his attention.
“I just cannot still believe this happened to me,” Dixon said.
Although Dixon has forgiven Gates, her mother, Kristy Ireland-Ricks, apparently hasn’t. According to ABC Action News, Ireland-Ricks hired an attorney and plans on taking action immediately against the entertainer. Gates has been charged with simple battery for kicking Dixon.
“I am so thankful to the community for supporting my daughter,” said Ireland-Ricks. “No man should ever hit a woman. That is not OK. He should be arrested and sent to prison.”
