*Kelis’ baby bump may have upstaged her during her performance at the Afropunk Festival on August 22.
The “Milkshake” singer, who shares a son with rapper Nas (born Nasir Jones), is pregnant with her second child, and while the identity of the father is unknown, many speculate her longtime mystery lover is the father.
Kelis and Nas divorced in 2010 after five years of marriage. Their son Knight Jones was born in 2009. Kelis was seven months pregnant when she filed for divorce, citing the standard irreconcilable differences.
In February, Kelis debuted on The Cooking Channel with her own show “Saucy and Sweet.” Her most recent album, “Food,” was released in April, and she has a cookbook titled “My Life On A Plate” coming out in September.
“My Life On A Plate is my first cookbook, and like the title says, it really is a reflection of my life through food,” she said in a statement. “It includes my version of recipes I grew up eating and things I’ve picked up that have inspired me along the way. It’s an exploration of tastes and cultures, and my experience as a chef, musician, mother and wife. It’s a lifestyle, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.”
The former Mrs. Jones rocked red hair and a sheer pink dress that highlighted her baby bump at the festival. A fan posted a video of Kelis performing, along with the caption: “A pregnant #Kelis just graced the stage; sing girl siiiinnnnggggg.”

In related news, theJasmineBRAND.com reports that Kelis has been hit with a $85k+ lien over unpaid taxes, it is one of many the singer has been slapped with in recent years. Kelis owes back taxes to the states of New York and California and the IRS. In 2013, she dropped over $400k to pay off her massive tax debt. This most recent lien accuses Kelis of owing California $85,844.
