Brittney Griner’s Glory Johnson Marriage Annulment Request Denied

brittney-griner-glory-johnson-celebrity-wedding*So much for a quick annulment for Brittney Griner.

An Arizona judge has denied the WNBA star’s request for an annulment to her marriage to fellow basketball standout Glory Johnson.

For Johnson, the denial is more of a positive than a negative in terms of the legitimacy of her marriage. If the annulment were granted, it would’ve invalidated the marriage as fraudulent.

“I am thankful the annulment was rejected because an act of marriage did occur,” Johnson told TMZ Sports. “Together we made life-changing decisions which impacted our lives collectively, and we both should be held responsible for those decisions.”

The judge’s decision comes after Griner filed for annulment in June. Griner and Johnson tied the knot back in May. Johnson is asking for $20,000 a month in child support from Griner for the twins they wanted.

Griner’s efforts to end her “marriage” to Johnson started after she discovered Johnson was still involved with an ex-boyfriend. Johnson apparently stated that she was straight but curious.

As for “marrying” Johnson, Griner took it in stride, considering that she’s already rebounded from the relationship with a brand new one with a WNBA fan.

“Sometimes you feel pressured into things,” Griner said. “I went along with it and I knew I shouldn’t have and it was a huge mistake.”
