Fact: Michael Jordan won’t do Business Deals for Less than $10Million

Michael Jordan*Thinking about making boss moves with Michael Jordan?

Make sure you have  $10 million handy, according to his advisor.

According to CBS Sports.com, Estee Portnoy testified Friday (Aug. 14) that unless you got a deal that’s ultimately worth at least $10 million, Jordan won’t do business with you.

The revelation was made in a court case involving a lawsuit Jordan filed against a grocery chain for using his likeness without permission.

Court documents revealed earlier this week that the NBA icon protects the value on his brand by not selling his image rights and endorsements for a single use. Instead, Portnoy revealed the combo is sold as a “bundled” package.

The fact that Jordan only deals with businesses that are “authentic” to him and “add value to his brand” is another thing Portnoy mentioned.

Citing The Chicago Tribune, CBS Sports noted the documents for stating that Jordan made over a half-billion dollars off endorsements alone between 2000 and 2012.
