*An openly gay artist on any version of “Love & Hip Hop” is not all that shocking or groundbreaking – but cast mates refusing to film scenes with their gay colleague, out of fear that their reputations could suffer irreparable damage, is quite intriguing.

VH1 announced that the next season of “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” will feature its first gay male couple, and surprisingly, one half of the couple, producer Milan Christopher, has alleged that his fellow cast mates are refusing to film with him because he’s gay, TMZ reports.

VH1 will develop a major storyline that “will explore one of the most complex relationships in franchise history. Miles, a West Coast rapper, who was raised with church values bravely faces his truth, when he realizes he’s in love with Milan, an openly gay man. The struggle becomes complicated for Miles because his best friend and childhood sweetheart, Amber, is still in love with him. The season follows Miles and Milan’s difficult and emotional journey as they deal with the stigmas often associated with intimate relationships between black men in the music industry.”

TMZ paps caught up with Omarion recently to get his opinion about the homophobic allegations, and O was unaware that Milan and his lover have joined the show. Additionally, Omarion wants no part of the gay drama incorporate into his storyline, saying: “Hell nah! I don’t like that s— in my storyline. N—a, keep that out of my motherf—— storyline. Don’t bring that s— nowhere near my s—t!”

When the reporter explained that his fellow cast mates are allegedly shunning Milan not because he’s gay, but because he’s not relevant in the music biz, Omarion replied, “Oh so they hating on him ‘cause he got on the show. That’s wack!” Omarion said. “Why they hating? He just trying to get them bands.”

Omarion went on to explain that a gay couple on the show could be great for ratings.

“Well, I mean it is popular right now. For real, you’ve got to have one of them on the show. It’s real life. That’s just where we are right now. If I’m a network, I’m thinking that too. I’ve got to touch everybody,” Omarion said.
